Reflection:

This time in this PSA project, our group chose the topic: littering. We tried to use rhyme in our headline, make it more easy to remember. So our headline is: LITTER MAKES THE EARTH BITTER. I like our headline very much!

I am the one who throw the trash on the scooter. To be honest, it was quite difficult to ride the scooter and throw the trash at the same time!!! But I tried many times, and finally I made it! LOL. Besides being the model in the video, I am also in charge of the voice record. My job is easy and not easy. For the easy part, I just need to say the script and record my voice, but my voice speed has to match with video and that is the uneasy part. For this PSA project, I record my voice for several times to let Jill choose the perfect one. Thanks for our members, without them, we couldn't make this project! I am really happy to see our work be done so perfectly!

2. Was there a subhead or a slogan?
     Yes. ACT NOW FOR THE PLANET.

3.Was the visual attractive?
    Yes. The AD shows a contradiction of the car accident and the medical crew.

4. Was the overall lay-out creative? Does it make the readers think? In what way?
     Yes, I think the lay-out is very creative. It used the image to tell the readers an emergency happened to our planet, but still, we take no action. The AD makes the readers think it is time to do something for our planet.

Reflection:

     This is my first time to do a e-zine project. Thanks for my team members; without them, I couldn't finish this task! I am the writer, the photographer and the speaker for our e-zine. I explained why we chose coffee as our topic and why we named our e-zine as Chooffholics.

     When it comes to the difficulty in this project, I think it is writing part. We four decided to report four different coffee shops, among them, only Crown and Fancy Coffee is a chain coffee store. The other three coffee shops have their own specialities, like: coffee shops with lots of books or with special meals. But Crown and Fancy Coffee is not speical at all if compare to the others. So I had a hard time when writing my article. Then I discuss with my team members, they suggested me to focus on their principles and coffee. I also learned the spirit from the shop owner, Others can see your sincerity if you pay your effort! 

     To sum up, I am very to have Jill, Molly and Amy as my team members. We had a great time when doing this project.Only through team work can we finished it!

A PICTURE'S WORTH >> UNFORGETTABLE FRIENDSHIP

       

 

     I was a volunteer in the World Dance Sport Games from September 16 to 20, 2013. During that week, I met different people from different cultures. All of them were extraordinary dancers from their own countries. It was an exciting experience. I was an assistant for sixteen people from four different areas: Sweden, Switzerland, Slovenia, and Poland.

 

     My job is to accompany the dancers all the time, help them deal with trivial things, remind them about some important things, etc. We have been working together for a whole week. They were so friendly that we treated each other like families. I think that's why we built a profound relationship. Because of this, we had a great difficulty when saying goodbye to each other.

 

     On the day the Swiss were going to leave, I went to Kaohsiung international airport to say goodbye. We asked a passenger in the airport to help us take this photo. It was our last photo during those days. To me, this photo was like an ending for the World Dance Sport Games. But I am sure this one will not be the last one!!! We will definitely meet again someday and have more photos!

3. Where was this photo taken? Around the corner from the hall of Lori's residence ( Manchester City )
4. Why was this photo taken? Lori thought this photo is very inspiring as it's not often that we see such classy graffiti. 
5. Why is this photo meaningful for the writer? Lori thought this photo is something that can make us think! She said: "If only everyone thought in this way, the world would be a better place." 
6. What is the story behind this photo? Lori was an apprehensive girl, so she was quite scared when she first moved to Manchester City. Later on, Lori found there's a "gay village" nearby, she thought that's a right place for girls to have fun without hassles. However, there are always people who don't accept heterosexuality. So Lori took this photo and want to make some changes.

9. What are the series of Events?  She moved to Manchester City and had fun in gay village, then she took the photo.
10. What is the 'tension' generated in the story? Just when Lori thought "Gay Village" is a good place for girls, she forgot that there are some people who are not accepting. She didn't realize why people opposite to it till she talked to some friends.
11. What is the climax in the story? She took this photo and post it online, urged people to make change.
12. What is the resolution? Lori found a quote on the wall and she urged everyone to change their attitude.
13. What is the message behind the story? Although not many people accept heterosexuality, there are still people try their best to change attitudes. Like what Lori said: "Even if it is just by using a spray can and a blank wall." 

Kindergarten Robbery

Midnight, about 11 pm., a thief used tools to broke the walls and sneaked into a private kindergarten in Ipswich, Suffolk. A safe containing £ 1,200 in the nursery wheelie bin had gone. The nursery school claimed that they were so shocked they were targeted when they are a just a nursery. And policemen promised that they are doing all they can to arrest the thief.
